"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my opinion it beautifully describes how I look at my work as a fashion photographer. Delicate fashion photography artistically leading to impressive and exquisite photos. The fact that it’s clearly recognizable as my work, makes that I consider it to be art. Something completely different than a merely visual registration of something observable.

Most importantly, I don’t work alone as a fashion photographer. I always work in a team with fashion designers, models, make-up artists and stylists. Communication and the willingness to understand each other are, in my perspective, key to achieve an excellent result. This applies during the shoot, but also during preparation and post-processing of the photos. I think excellent collaboration during these phases is key to success. There is a lot more to it, here I describe how I do fashion photography in more detail. Do you want more inspiration, please find an overview of my fashion photos here. Here you can read more about Fashion photography in Amsterdam. The way I do fashion photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. When you hear the word "glamour" what comes to your mind? I looked it up and the meaning for me was different than I expected. I wasn't totally surprised but it was different. It means something in the sense of 'pretense', 'fake mesmerizing beauty', 'enchanting charm', 'enchanting appearance', 'glitter', 'splendor', 'artificial brilliance' or 'excessive adornment'. It may initially come across as misleading or made up. But I don't think a touch of glamor has to diminish the sheer intention on which the photo is based. When applied appropriately, it can, for example, give a portrait photo that little bit of extras that makes it even more special. But glamor really comes to live in combination with fashion photography. They intensify each other in a great way. Fashion beautifully brings out the glamor level and the glamor helps to get the best out of a fashion shoot. The secret of glamor in my opinion is to apply it in a balanced way and to keep it in line with what you have in mind with the shoot. And if the shoot is all about the glamour, go all out! Here you will find some of my most beautiful glamour photos.

Most fashion photos we see are in color. Color usually attracts more attention and can literally highlight specific details. But for some photos I strongly prefer black and white. B&W photography is my passion and specialty as a professional fashion photographer. I love to tell you more about it and wrote this page about my Black and White Photography. And I also like to share a part of my portfolio of B&W photos with you.
I like to shoot on location (indoors or outdoors) and in my photo studio. It's located in The Hague. Easily reached by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is about a 6 minute walk. Here are some of my studio photos. They give you a good impression of the possibilities.
