"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my opinion it beautifully describes how I look at my work as a fashion photographer. Artistic fashion photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. The fact that it’s clearly recognizable as my work, makes that I consider it to be art. Something completely different than a merely visual registration of something observable.

For starters, fashion photography is always teamwork. Artists from different areas of expertise joining together. Fashion designers, models, make-up artists and stylists. It's important to really understand each other and to have a great atmosphere. It’s hard work but should, I my opinion, be great fun as well. During the shoot, but also during preparation and post-processing of the photos. I prefer to do the post-processing (in part) together with the fashion designer, model, make-up artist or stylist. You can find more information on my fashion photography on this page. Examples of my fashion photos are shown on this page. Here you can find out more about Fashion photography in Amsterdam. The way I do fashion photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. The meaning of the word "glamour" is perhaps a little less chic from you at first. Glamor means something in the sense of 'pretense', 'fake mesmerizing beauty', 'enchanting charm', 'enchanting appearance', 'glitter', 'splendor', 'artificial brilliance' or 'excessive adornment'. It doesn't come across as real, honest, or authentic at first. But I think a 'touch' of glamor in a photo can add something that doesn't have to take away from the authenticity on which the photo is based. When applied nicely, it can give a portrait photo that little bit extra, for example, which makes it even more special. But above all, glamor naturally goes hand in hand with fashion. They reinforce each other. Fashion quickly increases the glamor level and an extra touch of glamor can underline a fashion statement in a great way. In my opinion, the art with glamor is to nuance it enough to not let it distract from the message you want to convey with the photo. But if the message is glamour, to also know how to get the most out of it. I'm curious if you recognize what I'm writing here when you look at these glamour photos.
I really love this fashion photo, Chris Geurtsen Kyra Vister Saana Mirzaie Jolien Mulder fashion photo color 107, in color. It has been given this description: Fashion photo Fest 2016 Tropenmuseum | Chris Geurtsen Kyra Vister Saana Mirzaie Jolien Mulder | Fashion Photographer Michiel Borgart - Forever Images. And contains these tags: fashion photo glamour color catwalk runway Chris Geurtsen Kyra Vister Saana Mirzaie Jolien Mulder 2016-10-08 FIS16100801 fashion photographer Michiel Borgart Forever Images The Hague. Most fashion photos we see are in color. Color usually attracts more attention and can literally highlight specific details. But for some photos I strongly prefer black and white. B&W photography is my passion and specialty as a professional fashion photographer. I love to tell you more about it and wrote this page about my Black and White Photography. And I also like to share a part of my portfolio of B&W photos with you.
Locations of a shoot can vary. I do shoots indoors and outdoors. There is also the possibility to do the shoot in my photo studio. It's located in The Hague. Comfortably reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A4 and A12) and parking right in front of the building. The train station The Hague CS is about a 6 minute walk. Here are some of my studio photos. They give you a good impression of the possibilities.
