"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. For me, it honestly explains what Forever Images' portrait photography stand for. Artistic portrait photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. Because my work is unique and obviously identifiable, I love to see it as art. My photos are more than purely the result of capturing and digitally storing of what we can see.

Color photos are the most common photos. The colors are what people may expect or are used to attract attention. It's also the closest to the 'real thing'. But in some cases I love to turn a portrait photo into a black and white one. B&W photography is my passion and specialty as a professional portrait photographer. This portrait photo has something (extra) special about it. It's a low key photo, also called a film noir photo. It's relatively dark (low key) and emphasizes the tension between light and dark. Here you can find more information on low key photography. I find it interesting how minimalistic a low key photo can be. How it draws you to the bare essence of the photo. How it focuses on the light. Most of my low key photos are black and white. Extracting the color makes these effects even stronger. See if you can see what I mean, here are some of my low key photos. When the few aspects of the photo that are lit are very light, we speak of a high contrast photo. The high contrast makes that the few aspects the photo focuses on come out in a very bright and strong way.
We can do a shoot on anywhere reasonable location. Indoors or outdoors. And of course in my photo studio. My studio is located in The Hague. Easily reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is a mere 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
