"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my opinion it beautifully describes how I look at my work as a portrait photographer. Artistic portrait photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. The fact that it’s clearly recognizable as my work, makes that I consider it to be art. Something completely different than a merely visual registration of something observable.

I really love this B&W photo. B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional portrait photographer. Black and white emphasizes the essence of the photo. It draws you more to certain lines and dynamics in the photo. The photo raises more and different questions. Questions such as "what is she thinking about?" or "what's happening?". I love to tell you more about this and wrote this page about my Black and White Photography. And I also like to share a part of my portfolio of B&W photos with you.
This portrait photo has something (extra) special about it. It's a low key photo. It's relatively dark (low key) and emphasizes the tension between light and dark. The minimalistic way of visualizing the subject really emphasizes the story the photo is telling. Most of my low key photos are black and white. Eliminating the colors enhances the focus even further. It's really interesting to see. Here are some of my low key photos. When the few aspects of the photo that are lit are very light, we speak of a high contrast photo. The high contrast makes that the few aspects the photo focuses on come out in a very bright and strong way.
We can do a shoot on anywhere reasonable location. Indoors or outdoors. And of course in my photo studio. My studio is located in The Hague. Easily reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is a mere 6 minute walk.
