Poetry with light

"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. For me, it honestly explains what Forever Images' portrait photography stand for. Delicate portrait photography artistically leading to impressive and exquisite photos. The uniqueness of my work makes it’s clearly recognizable. For me this is the most essential aspect that makes that I see my work as pieces of art. An artistic interpretation of a visual experience.

How I do portrait photography

The first step is an introduction. Who are you and who am I. Then we are going to discuss what the portrait photos should look like. After this it's up to me to describe and show you how we are going to create your photos. There is, of course, more to this story. If you like to know a bit more, you can find more information about my portrait photography over here. For examples of my portrait photos, please check out this page. The way I do portrait photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. If you want to find out more about me and why I love photography and what the basis is from which I work, you can find my story here.

Excellent Black and White photo

I really love this B&W photo, Fons Mary portrait photo black and white bnw 51. It has been given this description: Loveshoot in black and white B&W sepia friendly bunch | Fons Mary | Portrait Photographer Michiel Borgart - Forever Images. And contains these tags: portrait photo couples shoot black and white bnw sepia photo studio Fons Mary 2016-06-25 FIS16062501 portrait photographer Michiel Borgart Forever Images The Hague. B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional portrait photographer. Black and white photos can bring out a certain essence in a unique way. They often have a timeless character. More often than with color photos, you’ll never get bored by them and they can have the effect of being seen for the first time each time you lay your eyes on them. There's a lot to say about it and wrote this page to tell you a bit more about my Black and White Photography. To show you what I mean, I created this overview of my B&W photos.

Sepia portrait photo

Sepia photos are named after the brown-gray discoloration of the photo. The word sepia is used for this because the brown-gray color is named after the brown pigment that used to be extracted from the ink sac of the cuttlefish. The word sepia means "cuttlefish" in Greek. This discoloration occurs in analog photos as they age. With digital photos, this effect is added to a photo using software. It gives the photo a warm and vintage look. This effect can be applied to both color and black and white photos. But it looks best with a black and white photo. An additional effect that works well with sepia is making the photo more grainy. This enhances the vintage look. Here you will find more of my sepia photos.

Photo studio Forever Images in The Hague

Locations of a shoot can vary. I do shoots indoors and outdoors. There is also the possibility to do the shoot in my photo studio. It's located in The Hague. Comfortably reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A4 and A12) and parking right in front of the building. The train station The Hague CS is about a 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
