"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my opinion it beautifully describes how I look at my work as a portrait photographer. Artistic portrait photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. Because my work is unique and obviously identifiable, I love to see it as art. My photos are more than purely the result of capturing and digitally storing of what we can see.

To create the portrait photos we are looking for, it is necessary that I understand what you want and that I can explain how we can achieve that. We always start a shoot with an introduction. I think it's important to know who you are and that you have an idea of who I am. Here I describe this in more detail. And on this page you can find an overview of my portrait photos. The way I do portrait photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. If you want to find out more about me and why I love photography and what the basis is from which I work, you can find my story here.
When it comes to shooting kids, like this portrait photo, it's all the more important to have a good time during the shoot. On the one hand, more patience is needed, but at the same time it must also be possible to switch very quickly. Photographing children is less easy to plan or lead and will always be more spontaneous and surprising. Just like children themselves. When a child is having fun during the shoot, feeling safe and even being a little curious, great photos always come out! Here you can find more of my children's photos. I think you get what I mean.

B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional portrait photographer. Black and white emphasizes the essence of the photo. It draws you more to certain lines and dynamics in the photo. The photo raises more and different questions. Questions such as "what is she thinking about?" or "what's happening?". I love to tell you more about this and wrote this page about my Black and White Photography. And I also like to share a part of my portfolio of B&W photos with you.
Sepia photos are named after the brown-gray discoloration of the photo. The word sepia is used for this because the brown-gray color is named after the brown pigment that used to be extracted from the ink sac of the cuttlefish. The word sepia means "cuttlefish" in Greek. This discoloration occurs in analog photos as they age. With digital photos, this effect is added to a photo using software. It gives the photo a warm and vintage look. This effect can be applied to both color and black and white photos. But it looks best with a black and white photo. An additional effect that works well with sepia is making the photo more grainy. This enhances the vintage look. Here you will find more of my sepia photos.
I like to shoot on location (indoors or outdoors) and in my photo studio. It's located in The Hague. Easily reached by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is about a 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
