"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my eyes this perfectly reflects what I have in mind with my portrait photography. Artistic portrait photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. The uniqueness of my work makes it’s clearly recognizable. For me this is the most essential aspect that makes that I see my work as pieces of art. An artistic interpretation of a visual experience.

To create the portrait photos we are looking for, it is necessary that I understand what you want and that I can explain how we can achieve that. We always start a shoot with an introduction. I think it's important to know who you are and that you have an idea of who I am. Here I describe this in more detail. And on this page you can find an overview of my portrait photos. The way I do portrait photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. If you want to find out more about me and why I love photography and what the basis is from which I work, you can find my story here.

B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional portrait photographer. Black and white photos can bring out a certain essence in a unique way. They often have a timeless character. More often than with color photos, you’ll never get bored by them and they can have the effect of being seen for the first time each time you lay your eyes on them. There's a lot to say about it and wrote this page to tell you a bit more about my Black and White Photography. To show you what I mean, I created this overview of my B&W photos.
This portrait photo has something (extra) special about it. It's a low key photo, also called a film noir photo. It's relatively dark (low key) and emphasizes the tension between light and dark. Here you can find more information on low key photography. I find it interesting how minimalistic a low key photo can be. How it draws you to the bare essence of the photo. How it focuses on the light. Most of my low key photos are black and white. Extracting the color makes these effects even stronger. See if you can see what I mean, here are some of my low key photos. When the few aspects of the photo that are lit are very light, we speak of a high contrast photo. The high contrast makes that the few aspects the photo focuses on come out in a very bright and strong way.
We can do a shoot on anywhere reasonable location. Indoors or outdoors. And of course in my photo studio. My studio is located in The Hague. Easily reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is a mere 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
