"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my eyes this perfectly reflects what I have in mind with my portrait photography. Artistic portrait photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. The fact that it’s clearly recognizable as my work, makes that I consider it to be art. Something completely different than a merely visual registration of something observable.

To create the portrait photos we are looking for, it is necessary that I understand what you want and that I can explain how we can achieve that. We always start a shoot with an introduction. When I shoot children, like this portrait photo, I make sure they have a good time during the shoot. I take plenty of time but I am also very sharp when it comes to capturing that one moment. Photographing children is more about letting go and will always be more spontaneous and surprising. It literally reflects the way children themselves are. When a child enjoys the shoot, feels safe and can be curious, great photos always come out! Here you can find more of my children's photos. I think you will understand what I mean.

More often than with color photos, you’ll never get bored by them and they can have the effect of being seen for the first time each time you lay your eyes on them. We can do a shoot on anywhere reasonable location. Indoors or outdoors. And of course in my photo studio. My studio is located in The Hague. Easily reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is a mere 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
