Poetry with light

"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. For me, it honestly explains what Forever Images' fashion photography stand for. Delicate fashion photography artistically leading to impressive and exquisite photos. The uniqueness of my work makes it’s clearly recognizable. For me this is the most essential aspect that makes that I see my work as pieces of art. An artistic interpretation of a visual experience.

How I do fashion photography

I love to work with fashion designers, models, make-up artists and stylists to create the most stunning and gorgeous fashion photos. Fashion photography is always a joined effort between artists from different fields of expertise. Communication is crucial, during the shoot, but also during preparation and post-processing of the photos. This page describes my fashion photography in more detail. If you are curious, I created an collection of my fashion photos over here. Here you can find more information about Fashion photography in Amsterdam. The way I do fashion photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. If you want to find out more about me and why I love photography and what the basis is from which I work, you can find my story here.

Elegant Glamour Photo

Everyone has heard or used the word "glamor" at some point. And everyone has a feel for the meaning of the word. When I looked up the meaning of "glamour", that meaning came across as less stylish to me than I expected. Glamor has been described as 'pretense', 'fake mesmerizing beauty', 'enchanting charm', 'enchanting appearance', 'glitter', 'splendor', 'artificial brilliance' or 'excessive adornment'. It doesn't come across as real, honest, or authentic at first. But a 'touch' of glamor in a photo can, in my view, add something that does not have to crowd out the real thing. When applied subtly, it can give a portrait photo that little bit extra, making it even more unique. But above all, glamor goes great with fashion. They help each other to emerge more powerfully from a photo. Fashion naturally enhances the glamor content and an extra touch of glamor can beautifully bring out the fashion aspect. In my experience, the art with glamor is nuanced enough not to let it dominate, as long as you manage to get the most out of it if the message is glamour. Take a look at some of my glamour photos, do you recognize what I'm describing here?

Astounding Black and White photo

I really love this B&W photo, Mariangel Dolorita Miss Reina Seu Ronald Rizzo Piu Colore fashion photo black and white bnw 540. It has been given this description: Fashion black and white B&W low key dimple | Mariangel Dolorita Miss Reina Seu Ronald Rizzo Piu Colore | Fashion Photographer Michiel Borgart - Forever Images. And contains these tags: fashion photo glamour portrait portfolio black and white bnw low key film noir photo studio Mariangel Dolorita Miss Reina Seu Ronald Rizzo Piu Colore 2019-01-12 FIS19011201 fashion photographer Michiel Borgart Forever Images The Hague. B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional fashion photographer. Black and white photos can bring out a certain essence in a unique way. They often have a timeless character. More often than with color photos, you’ll never get bored by them and they can have the effect of being seen for the first time each time you lay your eyes on them. There's a lot to say about it and wrote this page to tell you a bit more about my Black and White Photography. To show you what I mean, I created this overview of my B&W photos.

Low Key fashion photo

This fashion photo has something (extra) special about it. It's a low key photo, also called a film noir photo. It's relatively dark (low key) and emphasizes the tension between light and dark. Here you can find more information on low key photography. The minimalistic way of visualizing the subject really emphasizes the story the photo is telling. Most of my low key photos are black and white. Eliminating the colors enhances the focus even further. It's really interesting to see. Here are some of my low key photos. When the few aspects of the photo that are lit are very light, we speak of a high contrast photo. The high contrast makes that the few aspects the photo focuses on come out in a very bright and strong way.

Photo studio Forever Images in The Hague

I like to shoot on location (indoors or outdoors) and in my photo studio. It's located in The Hague. Easily reached by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is about a 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
