Poetry with light

"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. For me, it honestly explains what Forever Images' fashion photography stand for. Delicate fashion photography artistically leading to impressive and exquisite photos. The fact that it’s clearly recognizable as my work, makes that I consider it to be art. Something completely different than a merely visual registration of something observable.

How I do fashion photography

I love to work with fashion designers, models, make-up artists and stylists to create the most stunning and gorgeous fashion photos. Fashion photography is always a joined effort between artists from different fields of expertise. Communication is crucial, during the shoot, but also during preparation and post-processing of the photos. This page describes my fashion photography in more detail. If you are curious, I created an collection of my fashion photos over here. Here you can find more information about Fashion photography in Amsterdam. The way I do fashion photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. If you want to find out more about me and why I love photography and what the basis is from which I work, you can find my story here.

Exquisite Glamour Photo

Everyone has heard or used the word "glamor" at some point. And everyone has a feel for the meaning of the word. When I looked up the meaning of "glamour", that meaning came across as less stylish to me than I expected. Glamor has been described as 'pretense', 'fake mesmerizing beauty', 'enchanting charm', 'enchanting appearance', 'glitter', 'splendor', 'artificial brilliance' or 'excessive adornment'. It doesn't come across as real, honest, or authentic at first. But a 'touch' of glamor in a photo can, in my view, add something that does not have to crowd out the real thing. When applied subtly, it can give a portrait photo that little bit extra, making it even more unique. But above all, glamor goes great with fashion. They help each other to emerge more powerfully from a photo. Fashion naturally enhances the glamor content and an extra touch of glamor can beautifully bring out the fashion aspect. In my experience, the art with glamor is nuanced enough not to let it dominate, as long as you manage to get the most out of it if the message is glamour. Take a look at some of my glamour photos, do you recognize what I'm describing here?

Excellent Black and White photo

I really love this B&W photo, Mariangel Dolorita Miss Reina Seu Ronald Rizzo Piu Colore fashion photo black and white bnw 518. It has been given this description: Fashion photo black and white B&W low key | Mariangel Dolorita Miss Reina Seu Ronald Rizzo Piu Colore | Fashion Photographer Michiel Borgart - Forever Images. And contains these tags: fashion photo glamour portrait portfolio black and white bnw low key film noir photo studio Mariangel Dolorita Miss Reina Seu Ronald Rizzo Piu Colore 2019-01-12 FIS19011201 fashion photographer Michiel Borgart Forever Images The Hague. B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional fashion photographer. Black and white emphasizes the essence of the photo. It draws you more to certain lines and dynamics in the photo. The photo raises more and different questions. Questions such as "what is she thinking about?" or "what's happening?". I love to tell you more about this and wrote this page about my Black and White Photography. And I also like to share a part of my portfolio of B&W photos with you.

Low Key fashion photo

This fashion photo has something (extra) special about it. It's a low key photo. It's relatively dark (low key) and emphasizes the tension between light and dark. The minimalistic way of visualizing the subject really emphasizes the story the photo is telling. Most of my low key photos are black and white. Eliminating the colors enhances the focus even further. It's really interesting to see. Here are some of my low key photos. When the few aspects of the photo that are lit are very light, we speak of a high contrast photo. The high contrast makes that the few aspects the photo focuses on come out in a very bright and strong way.

Photo studio Forever Images in The Hague

We can do a shoot on anywhere reasonable location. Indoors or outdoors. And of course in my photo studio. My studio is located in The Hague. Easily reachable by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is a mere 6 minute walk. This studio photo is a great example of what we can create together. It gives an impression of what is possible with light and shadow. Here you can find some of my studio photos. This is already nicely reflected in this color photo, but the power of light and shadow can be expressed even beter in a black and white photo.
