"Poetry with light" is the subtitle or tagline associated with Forever Images. In my opinion it beautifully describes how I look at my work as a portrait photographer. Artistic portrait photography by creating uniquely beautiful and elegant photos. Because my work is unique and obviously identifiable, I love to see it as art. My photos are more than purely the result of capturing and digitally storing of what we can see.

Thank you for taking the time to review Daphna Akkermans Amsterdam IJburg Enneus Heermabrug portrait photo black and white bnw 706. Why this particular photo? Do you think it's worth investing in professional portrait photos? Have you ever thought about your own photo shoot? When would you be satisfied with portrait photos created for you? I would love to hear from you if you want to know more. Or perhaps you are interested in reading what others like to say about me and my work.
To create the portrait photos we are looking for, it is necessary that I understand what you want and that I can explain how we can achieve that. We always start a shoot with an introduction. I think it's important to know who you are and that you have an idea of who I am. Here I describe this in more detail. And on this page you can find an overview of my portrait photos. The way I do portrait photography is, of course, personal even when it’s done on a professional level. If you want to find out more about me and why I love photography and what the basis is from which I work, you can find my story here.
I really love this B&W photo. B&W photography is my specialty and passion as a professional portrait photographer. Black and white photos offer better possibilities to reveal an underlying layer of a story or feeling. A B&W photo helps the viewer to focus it's attention on, for example, the emotion or expression of the person in the photo. It can make the person in the photo for instance appear more powerful or more vulnerable. To explain this a bit further, I wrote this page to tell you more about my Black and White Photography. To support this explanation, I created this portfolio page of my B&W photos.
I like to shoot on location (indoors or outdoors) and in my photo studio. It's located in The Hague. Easily reached by car (about 4 minutes from the A12 and A4) and parking right in front of the building. The Hague Central Station is about a 6 minute walk.
